Norwater success in Japan
Norwater AS has lately experienced a strong interest from the Japanese market. Our models for «Technical Water» for economic and efficient tank cleaning has caught the attention also of Japanese Chemical Carrier owners.
So far Norwater has been awarded contracts for the supply of 13 systems to 2 different Japanese shipowners. They are all of the well-proven model NWC3-60/48 and will all be supplied to ongoing newbuilding programs at three different shipyards in Japan.

Local representation in Japan by Harison Sangyo Co. Ltd (Hiroshima):
To support Norwater’s future business in Japan, Norwater has entered a cooperation agreement with Harison Sangyo Co. Ltd. The agreement came in place in Imabari, Japan early November, between Harison Sangyo General Manager Mr. Katsushige Nakatoh and CEO of Norwater AS, Per Einar Gjerding.
Harison Sangyo was founded Sep. 1st, 1975 and has more than 40 years of experience in the shipbuilding industry. Located in Hiroshima, they are close to many of the Japanese shipyards and shipowners. Harison Sangyo will support Norwater going forward and it is a mutual intention of the parties to offer a local service capacity to Japanese customers within Harison’s existing service engineers. First training is planned first half of December. The Norwater CEO is really satisfied getting this agreement in place: «Japan is a market where we really feel a need for local support. With Harison Sangyo’s vast experience and dedicated staff, we feel lucky to play on the same team with them in the future», says Per Einar Gjerding.
